Logins and Passwords
We recognize it’s hard to keep track of numerous logins and passwords from Amazon to PayPal, so we’re providing a quick rundown on SHBR’s IT services to hopefully make it easier to conduct your business and communicate with the right people. Here goes:
What services are there?
We use our website shbr.org (where you are now) to maintain your membership information. This is used when you check in to the club, buy/use guest passes, reserve a gazebo, etc. We will send you payment receipts, party confirmations and other automated communications from here.
We also use a service called MailChimp for sending newsletters. You do not need to be a member to receive a newsletter and there are no logins to this system.
What Login ID?
Upon joining all members provide an email address. The email address you submit becomes your Login ID to shbr.org. This remains your Login ID forever. Your email address can be changed (see below) but your Login ID — the email you originally provided us — never changes.
What if I change my email?
You cannot change your shbr.org Login ID. Even if you do not have access to your old email account or if your name or Internet service provider changes, you still use the same Login ID.
You can change your email address in shbr.org. Login by clicking here. Go about half way down the page until you see a link that says “Account Information: Click here to edit your account details including name, address, family member photos/details or any of the other account details shown below.” It looks like this:
Clicking there will display your family members, their photos and information. Change your email addresses under the fields labeled “Mbr Email” and “Co-Mbr Email” (and change anything else that need it.
When you are done click on Save Account Info, at the bottom, to save your changes.
To change your MailChimp newsletter settings, go to any newsletter that was sent to you and look for unsubscribe from this list | update subscription preferences. Click on the first link to remove your email address from receiving the newsletter. Click on the second link to change which email address gets the newsletter.
Also, remember you can go to the shbr.org home page to sign up for newsletters. Just look at the bottom of the home page, which looks like this:
How do I change/reset my password?
You can change your password by following the instructions above by going to your account page and looking for “Account Password: Click here to change your account password.” Clicking on that link will walk you through updating your shbr.org password.
Chances are good you forgot your password if you need to reset it, though. To recover a forgotten password, act like you are going to login here and click on “Lost your password?”
You will receive an email with instructions for creating a new password. The email will go to the Mbr Email field (see above), which is your Login ID unless you changed it. If you did not update your Mbr Email to an email address you can access, you will need to send an email to the IT Director, letting me know your new email address.
There are no passwords associated with the MailChimp newsletter.
Lastly, if nothing seems to work, you can email me at it@shbr.org for issues with access to the shbr.org website or communications@shbr.org for issues with the MailChimp newsletter.
